You will find Impala’s. But as for the cats, you have to be very lucky. Also during the rains, it becomes a tsetse fly area so come with bottles of insect repellents. The Tsavo east park has more cats than Tsavo west also the roads become impassable and the animals disappear when it rains and a 4WD car will be needed to pass through the impassable roads.

It is a great park with an excellent variety of wildlife. Some of the wildlife you can spot are Lions, Hyena with cubs, rhinoceros,  African bush elephant, African leopard, cheetah, eastern black rhinoceros, southern white rhinoceros, Grévy’s zebra, hippopotamus. 4WD cars are highly recommended during rainy season when the park road become muddy or inaccessible. Main roads leading to the national park are in good conditions but you will find challenges to pass through the internal roads in the national park that require the use of 4WD cars.
